how do I make them? :

The ointments and lotions that I make does not contain rests from the oil industry. Only pure natural products. All my products are paraben free, as preservatives I'm using vitamin E this is far better for our skin. You will come to know the smell of ointments and the smell coming from clean essential Oils. To reduce the risk of sensitization or allergies the ointment should be applicable to the inside of you elbow. You will never find any perfume in my products.

Never the less, it may happen that some allergic reactions could come, this is something I unfortunately can not prevent. But to you who have known nut allergy tell me if you want to try packages, etc., or ordering goods, because they are oil-based lotion made with almond oil. If you need something I do not have here please contact us and together we can find out if there is anything I can help with, I have many more recipes that I've tried out, but as a start there will be a small selection to begin with.

Everything I make is subject to strict guidelines from the Food and administration regulations.  Everything I use are of course sterilized before use. I do not have an organization number in Brønnøysundregisteret as this is just a hobby for me so I am not liable to pay taxes from it yet, in case any of you were wondering about this.

diaper rash

What is diaper rash?

The typical diaper rash is that the skin is red and irritated, patchy or continuous. In some cases it is discharging, skinless areas, very occasionally also with open sores and pus blisters.

Fresh skin acts as a natural protective barrier.
The diaper rash can occur if the skin is closed down during diaper in a dense humid environment. Annoyances may be enhanced by urine or feces and mechanical friction, but also by the excessive use of water and soap.

Diarrhea increases the risk of diaper rash.

The problem of diaper rash is that one can easily get infections, in addition, a mixture infection by bacteria and fungi.
Some children also reacts with redness and irritation were different varieties, or the diaper is so poor that it does not retain moisture.

What can you do on your own to make this better?

Change the diaper frequently so that children's skin remains dry.
Let your child go without a diaper as much as possible, air drying of the butt is the the best way of preventing it.
If it's already been badly, do not use soap when you wash, use a soft gas cloth with baby oil.
The red skin should be lubricated with calendula ointment which causes the painful skin to heal fast.
When the redness is gone use a lanolin based  ointment at every diaper change. (Explanation below)
If the calendula ointment is not working, and this develops into fierce redness surfaces and blisters you  should try an ointment with hydrocortisone cream 1% without urea 2 times daily, you get it without a prescription at a pharmacy.

Caution: This treatment should not be done more than 3-4 days.

If none of the other measurements  have helped and it is larger or long-term rashes, skin is probably infected. Then you brush the skin with Crystal Violet liniment that you can buy at the pharmacy. This is effective against both bacteria and fungi.
You use a q-tip to apply the liniment.

obs: skin colored purple by crystal violet, this will also stain clothing if you are unlucky enough to spill.

Apply either a lanolin based ointment on top, or calendula ointment.
Repeat treatment 1 (maks.2)  for 2-3 days

The reason why one should prefer a diaper ointment containing lanolin is that it settles as a barrier between the skin and the urine /feces that will come in the diaper. Lanolin is known for it's ability to counteracts the formation of ammonia from urine. It is ammonia that cause red skin on children bottoms, and not all children ointments  are good enough to counteract this.

Now I think I have an unofficial record of admissions to hospitals in 2013. 4 times in 22 days. Tired of being  sick now you may very well say. Started the new year with influenza type A, taken by ambulance from home because I was so bad and placed by the emergency room in Levanger. The doctor sent me to the hospital where I was for 3 hours in the waiting room for a doctor, and when she came I was thrown out ...??!?? apparently not sick enough
Then we filled the car and drove south to my dear, went directly to the emergency room in Lillestrøm and was placed on the hospital there. I was there until the 5.1. Then it was good to get home to my beloved. The idea was that I would be there to have a good time with him and his family until the 20.01.

But we got no further than the 9:01 before I had to go to the doctor again, this time with inflammation in the back they thought. The 14.01 came and I had to take another trip to the doctor again when I got major neurological problems with hands and face, heaviness in the muscles, blood pressure jumped up and down and I got raging heartbeats  All honor to the emergency room in Lillestrom who took this seriously and examined me thoroughly, then I had to go to the hospital again... : P
They took some tests,  CT of the head and rtg of the lungs to rule out stroke, fortunately, it was not. Were present a few days before I got to come home on leave while I waited for them to find a available time for  MRI scan, with instructions to call if there was something more happening to me. They had no idea when I could get the MRI scan since one machine was broken, so the opportunity of taking it in a private rtg Institute was discussed, but we should wait to see the if they had time to do it in hospital, (then it's free of charge)

The plan was that I was to be discharged by tel if I got the MRI scan so that I could use my airline ticket to go home on 20.01 .... So Thursday they called me to offer me MRI scan on one hour's notice, but since I have claustrophobia I have to be medicated first and then it was not enough time, and new waiting began.
Had a great time at my beloveds home and everything was ok, with minimal symptoms (no worse than the start of it begin)
Thursday I get a new phone where I get offered MRI scan on Sunday, but then one hour after I should have been home so I had to check if I got the ticket changed to Monday night, and changed a doctor's appointment I had on Monday. I had to go home then because I had some appointments here at home. Fortunately, this went without too large expense, so then I was able to do the scan on Sunday and have a call from the doctor Monday so I got to hear the answer to the exam.

Then came Thursday night and I became markedly worse and had difficulty swallowing and numbness spread, suddenly I could not use my right  hand  at all. But this happened at night so I didn't want to contact the hospital then, I wanted to sleep in the arms of my beloved one night before I consulted with the doctor. It is much healthier to sleep in safe good loving arms than in a hard uncomfortable hospital bed;) Do not recommend  of the beds in the hospital, but everything else was impeccable. Great staff, nurses I renamed  my angels, and everything from cleaning staff to clean kitchen help were great people with great care for the patients ..

When I called on Friday morning I spoke with a wonderful nurse at the hospital wing that I was sign in under. She  talked to the doctor and called me back telling me to come in and take a lumbar puncture. I was in such bad shape that I didn't get to go home, but had to be there until further tests was done. The symptoms came and went, but I'm glad that someone invented the walker, it was good to have when my feet failed. There was a chance that I wasn't going to get home on  Monday, because in the morning I had to have a walker to walk safely across the floor without my feet betrayed me. But a doctor visit, came and since they had not found an answer on MRI scan or received any conclusions based on the lumbar puncture I got home.

My beloved picked me up at the hospital and we got a few hours before the plane was leaving. There was one lucky dog that meet me when I came in the door, he jumped around on the floor and and beeped, before he jumped up and gave me a long good hug. He didn't leave my side afterwards. And he was overjoyed when I managed to be going for a walk with him and my beloved. It is quite obvious that he likes it when we walk together all three because he bounces around like a puppy in pure bliss.

The journey home was tiring, I was not home until at was 0:45 last night. Luckily I have a great landlord who unlocked the door to me since I had left my keys in the car to my dear. (blush) Typical me when I'm  traveling somewhere, almost like a fever.

Today has been tiering, with some increased symptoms but I stay at home and take it easy. Have been in contact with the help office to get help and facilitating at home. so that I can get help with what I need thankfully. It will be good. So we'll see what they find out eventually. I have an appointment to go to the hospital on Thursday to get KIOVIG (immune drug) treatment for immunodeficiency and it will be very good as it will make me feel better.
Now I have chatted enough here and I'm going to find my bed for the night.
sweet dreams
